Every four years, millions of eligible US citizens don’t vote in the general election. Our goal was to encourage voter participation by simplifying a complex process. GoVoteBot is a nonpartisan chatbot on Facebook Messenger that provides voters with easy-to-understand, bite-sized information they need to vote. It generated 55 million media impressions and initiated over 100,000 voting-related conversations, demonstrating that technology can enhance democracy one chat at a time.
