More than 650,000 people are diagnosed with leukemia every year, and for most of them, a marrow transplant is their last hope. Unfortunately, only about half find a match. To solve this problem, we turned a package of over-the-counter bandages into a simple donor registry kit and an everyday act into a chance to save a life.

I conceived this idea when I was in ad school many years ago, and luckily for me, it was produced by Droga5. It’s a good story. If you want to hear about it, shoot me an email.

To help promote the idea, we made a PSA to thank sharp objects around the world. Since, after all, every cut is now a chance to save someone’s life. Remember that the next time you slice yourself peeling an avocado.
